need set-up for jammin truggy
i currently have a bk 7xl / bk 12020 controller in my jammin buggy. is that system powerful enough to race the jammin truggy? i will be running either a 4 or 5 cell lipo in the truggy. i have heard the quark / neu combo works well. any recommendations on controller/motor combo.
thanks jim |
Yep, Neu motor/ Quark controller is very good.
I believe your current setup might thermal in racing conditions. |
with the quark you don't need to use a separate lvc, and the neu motors are better in partial load.
Do you have any issues with your current setup? (temperature wise?) the 7XL will get pretty hot on 5S |
just play with the buggy, drag racing nitros and stuff. no real heat issues as of yet. i have been racing my other buggy nitro unfortunately and i will be converting the new jammin buggy and truggy to electric. what specific set-ups would you recommend for each? any help would be appreciated.
thanks again |
Quark 125 and a Neu is one of the best setups you can buy at this moment. Proven tough and proven winners.. LOL (ask Mike)

quark 125 and which neu do you recommend for the buggy and the truggy?
|
You can get the Neu motors in every flavour. (kv-wise)
the controller can be used in both. and depending on the gearing ratio of the truggy/buggy and the desired speed/drive variables (onroad/offroad), amount of cells, you can determine what KV you need. |
I'm running a 1512 and 1515 in my buggy/truggy respectively. For a 4s lipos setup I like a kv close to 2000.
I'm running 1900kv in the buggy and 1700 in the truck, but you could go a little higher if you want. I have room to gear down more on mine so they could toelrate a higher kv motor. For a 30ish mph speed it takes about a 13/46 on the buggy and 12/49 on the truck and that's about the slowest I would ever run them. They can gear up for more speed just fine. Hope that makes sense... I'm typing fast... gotta go. |
I am going to use a 1515 2200kv on my revo with the quark 125, for 4 and 5S lipo.
