Polyquest twenty (20c) lipos

I have a hobby shop that sells these nearby and wonder what people think about them. I can get them in 2s and 3s and from 900 to 3700mah. I'm thinking about getting them for my trucks, if they fit (t4, t3, miniquake and gorilla revo) Does anybody have any info on these cells? I'd like a little more info before i invest in these, the prices look good 3s1p 3700 for 109.00
Thanks for any info you can spare

Before anybody asks, I have never dealt with lipo/mn's before but through these posts here and other places i think i can deal.

I will be charging them with triton's (at first)and using polyquest balancer

Probably have more questions later thanks.

Not a bad price, but the new maxamps 4000's can do 20C as well and they are even cheaper.

you sure you want 6S? you need to know that 4S good lipo's can launch a buggy at 53mph.

Actually the 3s was just for price not sure how much the 2s would be. The 3s, if i got them would be for thr 5700 mamba and small 3s pack for the mini quake with a mamba 25 and 4700 heli motor fron golden horizions, for speed runs only. would run 2s for bashing or racing (if i can get the track owner to let me run). I do have a 12XL and a 16024 so 6s would run awsome with that

Agreed. you could still consider the maxamps 4000's 3s then. they are actually cheaper.

Hey Serum, or any of the other experts here. I found a place in my state that carries Flight power lipo's. http://www.atlantahobby.com/shopdisp...ower+20C%2D30C Not that i'm trying to ignore the maxamps packs, as they are a great value and i value your opinion, but i keep hearing that the flight power are the best and these look to be a great value. So my Question is, are the flight power packs good enough to offset the value of the maxamps packs? Sorry for all the questions, but i want the best for the money, I'm not worried about spending a little extra if its really good. Thank you

I'm pretty sure those cells in the Flightpower packs are the same as in the PolyRC packs.

Serum 09.28.2006 01:30 AM

i doubt if the polyrc packs are of such a high quality that they can deliver 30C and stay above the 3V.. at these currents it's not only about the cells, it's about the quality of the cells and about the connections. With lipo cells there are several types of grades in quality. it both are enercells, that is correct. but i don't think they do the 30C while staying above 3v.

crazyjr 09.28.2006 01:03 PM

Hey Serum, do you think they are a good deal? or, should i stick to the maxamps. Do you really think the 4000mah maxamps packs will be able to keep up with the mamba 5700 or even the mgm 16024 and 7XL? I usually use the same packs for everything and would buy a few of one for everything.
Once again, thanks for the input

I will test the new 20C peak maxamps cells pretty soon, so i should be able to report soon. I will test them this weekend.

crazyjr 09.28.2006 01:15 PM

Ok, I'll wait to see the results. Thank you. I'm planning to make this purchase sometime next week, or the week after so i got time

Serum 09.28.2006 01:21 PM

I will post the results as soon as i have them, I just got my LVC.

You're right about the quality of the pack, but from what I've read, many Flightpower cells are manufactured by Enerland, which makes Poly RC/Polyquest/Hyperion/etc. cells. I don't think all of Flightpower's cells are made by Enerland, otherwise the other companies would carry cells of the same capacities.

I heard it's rather easy to have them produce whatever you want, if you buy enough. Seems to me that flightpower is a relative large player on the market. (not as large as tool-manufacturers though)

crazyjr 10.03.2006 01:23 PM

Hey Serum, did you get to test the maxamps packs

Serum 10.03.2006 01:25 PM

Good point crazyJR, i haven't i didn't even soldered the deans plugs on yet.

I need to built up my other lightning first, before i start working on the other stuff. i also need to figure out a nice way to get the lvc in place.
