Neu 1512 2.5d replacement

I'm looking for a motor to put in a 1/8 buggy with 4s Lipos in the 2000 kv range. I wanted to get the 1512 2.5, but looks like it is out of stock right now. What would you guys recommend as a similar motor to the 1512?

Lehner 1930.

Mike pretty much orders those to order, so just send him a PM if you want one.

Would a Feigao 540C-8XL be comparable or would that be too much for a buggy?

Check with Mike on the 1512, he may have more then it shows in the online store.

They compare pretty close, not sure if it would be too much for a buggy as i don't run buggies. But i'm sure someone here will chime in....:027:

A 7XL on 12 or 14 cells is pretty awesome in a buggy.

how do you think a 6xl with 4s do in a buggy?

Serum 11.15.2006 02:39 PM

Hotter than a 7XL. i would prefer a 7XL on 4S.

I second that.

Ran 14 cells on my EB4 buggy with a 7XL, it's just the right weight/power.

but would 6xl be faster im trying to make a best of a buggy

Yes, and a 4XL (yes, I know they don't make them, but this is just and example) would be even faster, but it will run hotter and turn more RPM's, thus lowering efficiency. The 7XL IS the way to go.

A 6xl would run to hot and run time would be very little

plettenberg big maxximum w/fan (2300Kv) is what i would go with... 4 pole like the neu and very efficient... plus it has to be the best looking motor ever made... can be had for around 300 here
