Bent Gmaxx Motor Mount
 

Has anyone else had a problem with this? I went to the track today and was having a great time until I hear a strange sound which sounded like a gear mesh problem. Popped the body off and the base of the motor mount where it just clears the chassis braces was bent back about an 1/8th inch on one side causing the pinion to just barely touch the spur. I did have a couple of cartwheel wrecks but I didn't break any of the plastic stuff on the truck so I'm kinda dissapointed in this. Would it be best to just try to bend it back, replace it, or just go with the stock setup?

no offence to george, but i folded over a g-maxx shock tower. i think he need to make his stuff from 7075.

I'm thinking the same thing, I really like the G3 race suspension but last week I order the UE Racer X because it's only $100 bucks more and I think it's got alot better chance of surviving the track than the G3.

Do you use the motormount with one motor on the highest point?

I don't like the idea, that a motor with a 1/8th shaft can wiggle on the spur.. makes the shaft snaps easier.. cant you think of a motorbrace?

It's made from 10 mm x 2 mm aluminum.

I am sure you can find a way to connect it to the chassis..

Nope I had the motor mounted almost as low as you can go. Guess my nosedive into the dirt followed by the cartwheels was just to hard an impact to keep the 9L from bending the mount. George hooked me up with a replacement, so maybe this one will work out for me a little better.
