Servos

Looking to get some input on servos. My understanding is that if I upgrade my servo I'll get better steering, etc.

Any feedback or recommandations for servos?

What would be needed if I upgraded the servos?

Thanks

You would want to upgrade your servo to a Hi Torque Metal gear servo. Something like the Hitec HS-625 MG Metal gear servo

You will also want a good servo save like Kimbrough Large Servo gear saver

What if I want to get out of the stock setup for radio and servos, go with the Airtronics MX-3S 3-Channel FM/2 94102Z Servos 75MHz?

That setup would be all I need to convert correct?

Mike, is this the radio you mentioned to me about dialing in instead of changing crystals, etc?

I've been watching the Blue Bird servo

195 oz. of torque for $32.00 is nice!

If your going to get the synthesized MX3 take a look at the JRXS Pro, it' s the same price range at ultimatehobbies and I love mine.

Yes, this is the synthesized radio we spoke about. The radios don't come with great servos, so for the best steering response, a better servo would be recommended. I use the hitec 5945 digital servo on my trucks (fast, strong, precise and metal geared). The 625mg servo that Maxxfusion mentioned is a nice servo as well (just not as strong as the 5945).

The JR servos are also nice. I can get those as well, but the airtronics mx3 is lower priced for the same features.

So if I go with the single speed conv kit, (once release ;) ) I'll need one servo and a better radio. So I'd be looking at that radio and the Hitec 5945 correct?

Correct, Tom. I haven't had two servos in an emaxx for a couple years! I use the 5945 in most of my e-maxxes. Awesome servos.
