UE supermaxx diff set
Will the UE supermaxx 8 spyder diff set fit the G2R? Also does anyone know if the set includes both FRont and rear gearsets for the $300 or is it $300 per complete diff assy?
as far as i know they will not fit. sorry!
and i think $300 is for 2 diffs.......... |
that is the price for both complete diffs....housings included i believe...
so the differential on the maxx is different internally also from the revo or is it only the outer housing thats different?
I'm trying to decide on integy aluminium outer housings and steel 6pc gearset with maxximizer diffcups or if I should use something else. The UE 7.5 sets seem to be great and bulletproof. I'd rather spend the extra $60 for the extra strength.
if it is only a $60.00 difference..I recomend the UE diffs..well worth the $ spent...
yea that's why i want to use the UE diff set but it's $300 wasted if they don't fit
do you want to put these in a g2r, meaning a revo? then i am 99.999999999% sure they WILL NOT FIT!
bye:027: |
They won't fit, but FLM and Mike are designing housings to use 1/8th scale gears. Theres a thread on them in the Revo section I believe...

YOu can wait for the 1/8th diff conversion from MIke. Whatever you do, don't get the nova revo cups. they are no good, improper engineering.
OK so I borrowed my friends maxx diff setup and swapped out the internals into the revo case and it works perfectly. So aside from different external housings the internals work.
The main difference is the fact that the Revo diffs are sealed...
the supermax diffs appear to be sealed also. 4 o-rings included in kit.
they are sealed.....I run the 8 spyders and never had a problem with them
