Mamba esc and feigao 9xl setup

Is the mamba max esc and feigao 9xl compatible and what gearing do i need for spur and pinion gear?

What truck? What tires? What weight? How many cells you going to run?
Welcome to the forum to.

Can't help you much for lack of info.
The mamba can run the 9xl though.

Well its an emaxx with carbon fiber chassis low cg. right know im running 14.4v but m going to buy lipo's that are i guess a 2cell 4000mah . i have bowtie tires.

so im guessing the 9xl is the weakest among the feigao's? so will it still kick the hv-maxx ass?

Read the thread. He had the hv maxx and now has went to the 9xl on mamba. The 9xl is not accually weakest. You can put more cells on the 9xl for more power.

I want to run the same setup! With 14 cells I should be able to do on demand wheelies! I have a stock E-Maxx with stock tires and 40 mashers. What gearing and what runtime?

You are going to do more with your drive train. But your set up should be fine.

CVD centers, 3.3 axles, and 3.3 diffs. Will that be good?

I think so, not sure about the diffs.

coolhandcountry 11.03.2006 07:40 PM

The mashers will put more strain on the driveline. The diffs may give you problems
if the slipper is not adjusted right.

I'm running a Gorilla G2R which is 1" longer than a maxx/2.5 revo and on grass and blacktop it will wheelie without any trouble, running on dirt it will spin for about 5 feet before the acceleration catches up

phildogg 11.23.2006 06:03 PM

wheelies should be no prob. with that set-up.. I used to run a 9L in an E-maxx on 14cells and it would wheelie at decent speeds still, with a extended bpp torpedo chassis..

Did you think the 9L had adequate torque??

phildogg 12.13.2006 08:57 PM

yeah I did back when I had it,ran it on 14cells.. might have ran alittle hotter than my set-up now 7xl but had plenty of tourque.. thats been almost 2 yrs ago I think..
