phildogg 10.29.2006 02:03 PM

what about all the problems with false peaks on their earlier chargers? thats my only concern with the 989..lmk

I think those are gone....

MetalMan 10.29.2006 02:19 PM

False peaking can really only occur with NiMh/NiCd batteries where the charger has to detect when the battery peaks. With Lipo, the charger automatically peaks the battery at 4.2v/cell, where the battery remains at 4.2v/cell for the rest of the charge.

duratrax intelipeak charger....j/k......if I had to get one..It would be a toss up between the triton2 or the 989.....

I have the Triton and it's really good so I can imagine the sequel will be even better.

I have a e-Station 902 now, it's awesome! :)

squeeforever 10.29.2006 02:27 PM

Yea, I have the 701 and its great. I just wish I could charge at more than 7 amps...but thats pretty high...

sjcrss 10.29.2006 02:32 PM

I have the original triton as well, and love it...I agree with nick.,...that I'm sure the triton2 is even better

The 902 does 10amps and upto 12s lipo. I never use more than 4amps anyway for my lipos but it's nice to know your future proof for a long time.

squeeforever 10.29.2006 02:42 PM

Yea, but the 902 is twice the price of what I paid :p.

Nick 10.29.2006 03:29 PM

The 902 was just a stocking filler. :D

phildogg 10.29.2006 04:21 PM

I went with the triton2 ,as I've also had the original triton before and liked it.. thanx for the opinions..
