giga crusher brushless
would mtroniks truck combo work well with this truck?
will have 165mm tires and almost 30/1 fdr and 4s lipo. thanks |
More than likely, what motor BTW?
|
the that comes in the combo, its a mtroniks plasma truck.
|
I'm assuming this is for a crawler?
The ESC should be more than OK no matter what you do, I have a gen pro and found it pretty smooth up until the batts were well dumped. I don't know what the motor is, don't even know where you are looking at this combo. I would think you would want to aim for a motor with a pretty low kv value & with your low gearing. LMK if I'm misunderstanding something (ie crawler etc) |
no no, not for crawler.
for nitro conversion. for speed, jumping. want like 60/70 kph. with kyosho giga crusher df. thanks |
this was a dual engine truck finnster
|
i dont have it yet but i'm wondering what would be a good combo for pushing a 12 pound truck or so to 40 miles per hour.
|
well how much are u willing to spend??????? then u decide, or we can help lol
|
well i just calculated the speed and it comes out just right with the mtroniks genesis + plasma truck.
3000kv motor, 14.8volt lipo, fdr of 21.69/1 and 165mm tires comes out to 63 kph. just as i want. but the question is, is the mtronik stuff good? |
Ok sorry, thought I'd ask and make sure. I saw the FDR and made some assumptions...
I have no idea n the motor, I've never seen anyone use it. 3000kv sounds way too high for such a large truck tho. I'd be fast for ~5min before it thermaled. You'd be better off getting a 8 or 9xl. 40 might be a strech, tho you should get close. An 8xl would do it, just have to keep temps down, 9xl would be safer. Get a Rx pack or external BEC for sure. If you wanted to spend more $, a 1515 1Y should do 40+ on 4s lipo, but they are $280 and I'm not entirely sure if the Mtroniks can run 4 pole motors |
i tought i would build it to have 30/1 fdr but thats not needed i assume?
around 20/1, is that better? |
one thing to keep in mind when you calculate the speed the pack won`t stay at 14.8v. more something like 13.5-14v
|
about the battery i know, but didnt keep it in mind.
bout the motor, the neu 1515 1y/f ( i asume you mean this one) what's the diameter? with the fins? and does the quark 125amp esc work with that motor? is that a good esc? sorry for all the newbie q's. but i'm new to the sensorless brushless. :027: oh yeah, would i need an ubec with the quark? |
the more i think about it, the more i want to do a car that will be easier.
like a 1/8 buggy. also the performance of a buggy will be much better i asume( faster, excellerate quicker)? also kyosho parts support isnt so good as it should be. i'm thinking more along the lines of xray xb8tq. can you guys give me some of your toughts? about brushless buggy's, monster trucks and their performance?:032: |
Perhaps a truggy is a better idea, leaves you with more room for the batteries.
About your other questions; yes, the Quark 125 is an excellent controller, and you do need a UBEC with it. A buggy is a dream to handle.. It goes where you want it to go. a monstertruck is slower in cornering. a truggy is a nice mixture of both worlds. |
