Lipo batteries storing temperatures

Getting to the Winter months in the UK, it isn't usual to have subzero temperatures at night and under 14C through the day. :026:

I keep my Lipos in my shed, with my charger. Do they need to be kept at room temperature? I'll probably bring them inside anyway but just intrested to know.

It's advised to store them at room temperature. (TP)

Though a higher temperature would affect them worse than a lower one. (the low temperature you are describing is not that low for cells)

What about running in the colder temps?
I remember you didn't have good luck with this rene.

No, the voltage drops.. I drove them on a -28degree C, their voltage dropped amazingly quick.

But that is a pretty cold day. What about like -5 c or so?

Warm up the batteries before you run them, and run them hard so the cold doesn't remove all of the heat they produce.
