CC Barracuda 125 ESC

Has anyone tried this controller?

It's $190 @ Tower Hobbies. I need something with a programmable 5S Lipo cutoff and able to handle the brushless LST. I would prefer it to be able to handle the BEC also. It would make everything simple. This controller will not handle the BEC, I'm just looking around right now.

I'm using a 9920 right now which works great but there is no lvc. I tried the mamba max controller and it just kept thermalling after about 3 min's runtime. I bought a small novak fan to try on the mamba controller, but I just think it's too much. I had the BEC disabled also.

Will this work on my BK 9920?

Why not try a Quark 125b? That is what I am using with 5s.

Plus I think that esc has no brakes...

Why don't you simply get an external LVC for the 9920 since it works ok?

The BEC in just about all ESCs I can think of use a linear regulator and will heat up with high cell counts, so I'd use a UBEC no matter what you use.

IIRC, the BK software doesn't work in WindowsXP if that's what you're running. I'm not sure though...

I don't want the extra electronics on the chassis. I like to keep everything neat and clean. I was also told the LVC's for 5S didn't work very well.

Which LVC are you using with the Quark?

The Quark has it built-in.
