Quark Monster Pro 125B
Hello
I have this in mye car and now im running with a fieago 8xl motor, but i'm thinking of buying a new motor. But i wonder how meny wats can my controller handle? Can it handle a Lehner 1950 motor or a Lehner 1940 motor |
Yes, as far as i know, it can easily handle 1940, and i think the 1950.
it will take it no problem.
Yah, right, it's not so much the motor as the size and weight of the vehicle you are running it in... that the controller has to handle. I suppose it would be no more work for the esc to run a 1950 than a 1940, as you can only apply so much torque anyways... wheelies, tire spin, etc. You know what i mean.
why do you want a new motor.
The 125b should be fine. As long as you don't go heavy vehicle with low wind and hi gearing.
What is the reason you do not like this motor or is is shot. Why are you getting rid of it. Just curious
Yah, i wouldn't bother with a new motor, you could send the 8XL to me if you want? I don't know why i didn't get an 8 or 9XL, i had 2 extra M1 cells i could have made a 6s2p pack, but i'll be running a 5s2p pack on 7XL...
I whant more power, just as eassy as that.
How would the fieago handel if i go with 6s lipo? Should i try with 6s before i change to a bigger motor?:026: |
quark wont handel 6s and a lehner would give you more torque but not a ton more(i think).

6s works on the Quark. Its not gonna fry anything, It just has a little cogging problem when the 6s pack has a fresh charge. It works, just not a smoothly as we all expect.
I have run mine many times on 6s, but generally prefer 5s for this reason. |
i did not mean it wont work but most guys perfer 5s because it runs smoother, and thats usually important. It will work but it is not pefered.
6s A123 cells would work great with the Quark, lower voltage than LiPo. 6s LiPo is too much for 8XL.
