wire gets hot
My wire is getting warm which means I’m loosing power but I’m using fairly large stuff and its just under 7inches long I’m pulling up to 80amps at 15v about 1200watts,
I think Its 11awg is that enough? I have 8awg if it will fix the problem, i have soundlink wire, is it a good brand? |
you could try deans wire. the wire you use is it noodle? deans uses tiny little strands and can carry high amperage and what not...
also, have you cheked for any butcherd wires that are visible? and the wires connection to your esc and motor isnt long? |
You could also be losing power at the connectors if they aren't hooking up perfectly or are dirty. The heat generated at the connectors then travels along the wire.

I agree... Make sure your connections are good. What kind of connector are you using? Deans... 3.5mm gold bullet? What wire is it? the motor wire or the battery wire?
Also mentioned above is wire length. If you are still getting heat shorten it as much as you can. I would think the 11 gauge would be plenty. I use 12 or 13 on most stuff and dont have any issues. |
