this is by far the best deal i have seen on ebay i know it is gas but this thing is the most decked out revo i have ever seen for 560 it is easly worth over 1500 i could have bought it i have 600. Do you think i should have bought this or the erevo kit(i am going with erevo but just wandering).

Wow, that was a good deal! Makes me wonder why the guy wanted to sell it when it's obvious it was never run. The guy took a BIG loss on that deal. :032:

After thinking about this, it seems like too good a deal. I've heard of some scams where if a seller has something up for sale and it's not getting what they wanted, they have a friend or something place a "winning" bid so they don't really have to sell it for so low a price. The very few bids makes me think something like this happened. It's just too much of a loss. Of course, it could simply be a good deal and it's just the cynic in me talking...

I'm going to try and decipher his auction here so bare with me.

Yes, it is weird that he only had 2 bidders (it shows 3 bids but one person bid twice). Maybe because of timing. It is just after the Holidays and most people have already spent their money.

He had two prices on the thing and I am just going to take a wild stab in the dark and say his first "starting bid" was $500 and the "Buy it now" price was maybe $1,000 or more (he changed it 4 times) since he says he has over $2,000 into it.

With my experience on ebay, I have noticed that most people won't bid on a high priced item right away, which explains why the first bid wasn't placed until 6 days into the 7 day auction.

As far as the "friend placed the winning bid" thing goes, that is possible, and I always think about this when ever I am bidding on something too. I wouldn't think so in this one though. The seller is in Albuquerque, New Mexico and the buyer is in Orrick, Missouri, almost a thousand miles away from each other.
I have seen in some auctions that the current high bidder is in the same or surrounding city as the seller.

(Ok, so I have too much time on my hands)

What do you guys think i know it is nitro but just the chassis and motor are worth like 500 alone minus all the other stuff. I decided to stay on track with the brushless erevo but do you think i should have bought it.

I've found it best to focus on one truck at a time or you end up with one truck that needs attention and one that takes forever to build.
Your best bet would have been to buy it and part it out. Then put the money into your Evo
