tires to run on a brushless e

Sooner or later I will have my e brushless but I was j/w what kind of tires are good? I run on and off road on various surfaces like grass, gravel, loose dirt, and packed dirt.

I prefer Proline Crime Fighter or Bow Tie MTR's...

Will they not wear fast driving on the road?

jollyjumper 01.13.2007 06:08 AM

yes they would, maybe look at proline badlands.
they have rather large lugs that will last longer onroad.

Mike.L 01.13.2007 04:16 PM

yeah i like the badlands but for strictly on road i would get some roadrages.

squeeforever 01.13.2007 05:09 PM

To be honest, Roadrage tires don't get to good of traction...Mine always spun out...

I been looking for tires that would hook up on the loose dirt where I live. Finally decided to try a set of panther meat grinders. Wow what a difference they made. For all the surfaces you mentioned.... grass, gravel, loose dirt, and packed dirt, meatgrinders would have much better hookup then anything else. But if plan to run on pavement also then they would wear out really fast.

For a good all arounder, I like the Panther Boa. It's lighter and not as wide as the Crime Fighter and Bow Tie MTR's. Maybe grab a set of Meatgrinders for running on grass and loose dirt, and a set of Boa's or Proline MTR's for running on everything else. Thats what I did anyways.

The best all around tire for all surfaces I have found is the Losi ZombieMax. Hooks up good on greass and dirt and pavement. And it wears really well. Ive been bashing on mine a long time and they still look great.

jhautz, that ZombieMax does look like a nice all around tread. I may have to try a set of those myself. Heres a pic of the ZombieMax I found online.

If you do get them. Make sure use the duct tape belting trick on them or they balloon quite a bit.

squeeforever 01.14.2007 12:24 AM

I would choose the Badlands over the Zombies...

jhautz 01.14.2007 12:27 AM

I agree Squee, the Badlands do look nice. Havent tryed them though.
