Feiago 10L on 14cells?
Is it possible to run a 10L or Lehner equivalent (can't remember model) on 14 cells?
Before you say you should run a 9L I am wanting to get the extra cells later, or add them on after I gear/heat test them. I shouldn't have any problems? |
It is ok to run on a 10L with 14cells. You will have lower topspeeds but shorter runtime, (correct me if im wrong mike) , no problems there.

***You will have higher topspeeds but lower runtime, sorry for that error***
|
wait, what?
a 10L is faster on 14 cells than it is on 16 cells? |
no , on 16 cells its faster than 14, thats obvious because 16 cells has more volts than 14. I was just pointing out that a 10L is faster than a 9l on 14cells but has lower runtime.

ohhhhh lol
|
LOL.

Thanks for the confusing reply, lol.
Do the Feiagos take normal pinions? What sort of run time do you get out of Feiagos? |
lol, if you get the 10L it comes with 5mm pinion, but if you get 9L you have a choice of 1/8, or 5mm pinion. If you get the 5mm mike also has some pinions with 5mm bores. I dont know about the runtime because i dont have it, but when i do get it im getting the Feiago 9L (5mm pinion) with warrior 9918 and mike's BL heatsink. Im sure it gets better runtime than stock.

This thread is a little confusing, so let me clear it up. The 10L will run excellent on 14 cells. It will have a nice power output and will run pretty cool as well as have a nice runtime. On 16 cells, it will be even faster, and if geared down a little, it can provide longer runtimes as well (vs 14 cell operation). The 9L will be a little faster than the 10L on the same cell count and same gearing, with a slightly shorter runtime. The 9L is a great motor for 12-15 cell operation, while the 10L runs very well with 14+ cells (will actually run very well with 12 cells, but won't be the huge powerhouse it is on the higher cell counts. The 5mm shaft is receommended for heavier trucks, as it is a lot stronger.

Will the 9L run well with either the GP3300's or GP3700's with 7 cells? Pros, Cons?
What would be the lipo equal to 7 seven cell setup of either GP3300/3700 be? Pros' Cons? |
The 9L is designed around 14 cells so it should run really well! Especially if you have a good pair of 3700s! :)

I've got a 10L/9918 running on a fairly heavy truck. I use both a 14 cell GP3700 set up and a 16 cell GP3700 setup and they are both brilliant. With a 51T OFNA spur and a 15t Mod1 pinion the truck is crazy fast on either batteries, although the runtime is greater with the 16 cells and everything is noticeably cooler.
BTW, 16 cells on the Gmax chassis is a tight fit, I think I might re-design the strap mounting to reduce the stress on them. |
The 10L is very fast indeed.
I friend of mine uses his on a 6,5 (14.3 lbs!!) kg heavy savage and reached 70.4 km/h on (only) 15 cels.. So it is more than enough power for a heavy weigt MT |
What is a heavy Maxx? All alloy'?
I have the G1 chassis and RPM arms as my only chassis upgrades, would this be classed as a "heavy" truck? |
