The current 3.0.1 update allows you to do it, though i have not tryed it yet

Update?

Are there any updates from folks that have tried using the Spektrum Rx with the Nomadio React? Any info is apppreciated....

It is supposed to work. Always has. I think the only thing is you have to change it via computer, which can be a problem sometimes.

Don't buy a radio based on this, but I think the REACT can swith to slow mode through the transmitter. I just remember reading on the sensor forums about this missing functionality vs. the REACT.

squeeforever 12.04.2007 11:14 PM

Cool, all the more reason to get a React.

MetalMan 12.04.2007 11:23 PM

Yes, it works. I used to run a Spektrum receiver on my React before my truck was stolen which had the Spektrum receiver on it...

I know at least with the newer firmware version you can select which type of receiver you want to run. From what I've seen, the only thing the computer functionality gives you over not hooking the React up to the computer is the ability to name different models and update the firmware.

So MM, how do you like it? Think it feels as good as a M8, M11, 3PK, etc? I have a M8, which is the smoothest feeling radio I've ever used and don't wanna go to something that feels like a TQ3. By that I mean steering and throttle response, not physically.

BlackedOutREVO 12.05.2007 12:42 AM

Atleast for on road cars, I didnt like the react at all, the M11, 3PK, and KO helios all feel much better in terms of control feel you like on the M8

squeeforever 12.05.2007 12:48 AM

What about the DX3R or the Sensor? I kinda want something with built in telemetry

BlackedOutREVO 12.05.2007 12:50 AM

The 3R, I havent even seen one in person

And never tried a sensor held them, never tried one though

At my track, the nomadios have lots of glitching problems

MetalMan 12.05.2007 01:21 AM

The React has been just fine for me, but I don't race. I mainly bought it because of its features, which I absolutely LOVE. I'm glad I bought this radio over the M11 2.4ghz (even though I could have gotten the M11 2.4ghz @ 5% over cost...). But I've never used a M8 or M11, so I can't compare.

Thanks to all that took the time to answer...it really helped. I currently have the DX3 Spektrum and it is okay...but I have outgrown its capabilities and have been eyeballing the React for awhile. I am considering an upgrade to the React but I have four Spektrum transceivers and I want to make sure I look before I leap.
