i wish i could help but i just realized how many :D you have in your post and sig lol wouldnt a regular brushed motor get pretty hott when using lipos? i would think so because even my mm 5700 gets pretty warm when using 7 cell batts.

jollyjumper 01.19.2007 09:45 AM

but its a brushed motor made for 14 volts tmaxx.

Mike.L 01.19.2007 09:48 AM

dont know, but people tend to say that of a komodo dragon aswell and you can run it 10 times without cutting the comm.

t-maxxracer32 01.19.2007 05:28 PM

only 10 runs? why wouldnt you juyst stick with the bl motor...?

jollyjumper 01.19.2007 05:42 PM

i love doing some motor work, cant do it with BL. to bad.

You could get a purple fegao, and polish it till it's silver.. That's some work too.. :p

Just get a brushless motor, no matter what you do with a brushed, brushless will outpreform it in terms of efficiency and most likely torque..

With 4S you need am external BEC (or a loose battery)

coolhandcountry 01.19.2007 06:12 PM

I would say you need a ubec cause it is 4s lipo.
No matter the motor.
I have read that some of the crawler guys really like the brakes of the mamba
max esc. They say they work real well.

jollyjumper 01.19.2007 06:24 PM

i actually like the handling of brushed better.
have 2 mm's and they dont drive as good as brushed motors.
i hope i dont get flamed for saying this:002:

Serum 01.19.2007 06:29 PM

What brushless motors have you got as reference then?

jollyjumper 01.19.2007 06:31 PM

mamba max motors. in 1/10th cars ofcourse.

Serum 01.19.2007 06:43 PM
