lehner 2400XL/warrior 7018/18cells?
hi,
I'm looking for an 18cell brushless set-up in my maxx. Before anyone suggests going for a smaller cell count....don't, cos I've already got custom made 18cell packs. Do you think a 2400XL or a 2000XL would be the best option, bearing in mind I want to use the 7018. The 2400XL has a current rating of 60A, and the 2000XL 55A. Would the 2400XL have heat issues? Many thanks... |
If you are going to use a high cell count then I do not think the 7018 controller is your best choice unless you can use a very low end motors like the 2400xl. So yes. Go with the 2400xl/7018 setup, although I do recommend to use the 30120 controller. Its pricy, but it will surely keep you at the best condition. Be sure to use a cooling fan on your controller if you're going to use the 7018 S/C for best effeciency.

For 18 cells, the xl2000 will probably be a better choice. Especially with the 7018 controller. The 7018 controller works great with the xl2800 on 12-14 cells, but with higher cell counts comes more weight and the xl2000 would be the better option. It would be plenty fast and powerful as well. Also, welcome to the RC-Monster forums!

thanks for you help mike. Looks like I'll be going for the 7018/2000XL set-up. Will hopefully order by the weekend.
Another quick question....I live in the UK, what are shipping costs/times, and is the extra cost of shipping calculated when I order, or do you send me a bill for shipping after I've purchased the set-up? Thanks |
The shipping is calculated when you order. There are a couple ways to do it, actually. I can have the items shipped direct from Germany and save you some customs fees, but the ship time takes a couple weeks. If you are not in a hurry, this is the ideal way, as it saves you money.
