Bigger strobe slipper spur?

I have an E-maxx with a Neu 1515 and I want to gear it down a little. Right now I have the strobe slipper with the 51 tooth spur and 16 tooth pinion. This is the lowest I can go with the pinion because otherwise it hits the transmission. Is there a bigger spur gear that will fit the strobe slipper?

Welcome to the forums, I have looked all over for different sizes, even ofna themselves and no dice, at least not in plastic

Thanks, so I'm guessing the only way to get lower gearing is to use the rear-mounting motor mount?

If you know a good machinist, that can do plastic, that might be possible

Actually, I believe the Ofna Monster Pirate spur will work. Its 65T. It fits the Ultra MBX diff which is what the 51T is intended for, so I would assume, with very little to no modifications, it will fit, however, it might be to large.

Squee is right. I have a couple of the 65T spurs and they are huge. They will fit the strobe with a little mod but may force you to use smaller pinions which may make your gearing lower than desired.

Yeah, they can be made to fit the slipper. It´s kind of hard to get it alligned in center though.

get another motor plate, space it off the old one and run the motor backwards on the transmission and it will clear. You will need to use standoffs to space the new plate, and make sure its very sturdy. It will work though. Then you can go all the way down to a 9t if I remember correctly.

I dont want to run it backwards because that will take too much weight off the front.

My new slipper kit will be out soon.

Spur choices will be 48T, 49T, 50T, 51T, 52T

See all three pages. The best description and pics are on page 2 & 3

You could use a 12T pinion.
