FLM Ext. E-Maxx Chassis Questions

Sup guys, just have a few somewhat mildly retarded questions on the FLM extended E-Maxx chassis kit. First, does the kit require extended E-Maxx bodies or is a standard Atomik body sufficient, just with the body post holes drilled back 3.5 cm further? Are there any other parts outside of whats included in the kit I would need? In terms of an antenna mount is it possible to keep the antenna in the same location as on a stock E-Maxx? (so as to avoid drilling another hole through my body.) In terms of battery straps or mounts...do I need to purchase some G-Maxx straps or what? And finally does the installation run rather smoothly or does the chassis have Integy-itis, where holes are too small or stock screws don't fit? Thanks for any help you guys can throw my way....I just don't feel like forkin over 200 bucks to HCR for their stock aluminum chassis. Everything is Everything.

A normal body would fit, but would looks short, an extended would be best.
You can get aluminum antenna posts off ebay or fullforcerc.
The flm comes with straps. The build should go smoothly.

Does anybody know of any other silver aluminum chassis options out there that aren't extended aside from HCR's. I feel like I've seen pictures of peoples cars with different styles but no listed manufacturer.

New Era Racing made (or maybe still makes) one.
You need an antenna mount.
The build should go smoothly.
FLM Includes battery straps for you
BTW...you'll need to come up with a on/off switch mounting location (if you have one)
I have one as well. I think you'll like it.

You can buy a gorilla chassis and not put the extension on it.

well included FLM battery straps are useless. They lasted 10 minutes. I made my own from velcro and nylon strap and all i need is just 1 to hold each battery (tho i made 8 just in case)
here is a pic

extended maxx is worth every penny. it handles much better in the air and looks much cooler.

Bodies that perfectly fit:
Revo 3.3 bodies - traxxas and proline
LST2 bodies - proline
Extended maxx body F-350 pro proline

also the rear dogbone and cups that come with the FLM body are great

i used old bulkhead brace to mount antena and it fits the original hole

If anyone wants to make thier own extended chassis let me know and I can help out alot, I have the chassis braces (you dont want to make those), and the dimensions you need to make one.

I had planned on it then bought the FLM.

I have regular and extended T-maxx chassis plates (new) if someone wanted Bomb-Proof to whip up some braces to go with it.

I'll let the stock T-Maxx chassis go for $5 and $20 for the Extended (1.6"/40mm)
