Perhaps you could build an Emaxx type truck for your next project, given your insane metal working abilties I think you could produce something rather good.... |
Hand cut huh?.. What do you use ; band saw? That must be some nice cutting for a hand cut product!
|
Thanks all.
Yeh the Razor and the flame chassis I cut by hand, as in hacksaw and files. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/ryan.co...od/razor24.jpg http://homepage.ntlworld.com/ryan.co...%20truck/1.JPG http://homepage.ntlworld.com/ryan.co...20truck/10.JPG its only recently I put the designs into cad and got them lazered out, the first razor I still have but the first two flames I cut by hand 1 I sold to rc4wd in california and the 2nd to a chap in Hawaii |
As far as I know (I follow all the candymans's work- he has serious skillz) its all done with hacksaws, dremels & metal files. He only just got round to buying a miniature vertical mill, before that everything was done buy hand- literally. You'd have to ask him how he does it exactly, but it starts with drawings, then cardboard models and so on.
edit: same time post, but it seems I was correct! |
