Free Wheelin Speed

Hi guys ,Ive invested huge bucks into my gorrilla/UE monster ,As smooooth as she runs i think i could get her running a little faster ,what bearings are the best & should i be running ceramics on the knuckles ? What kind of results are you guys having

Id reccomend ACER racing bearings everywhere, they are pretty pricey though. Check towerhobbies, they have them.

i've got no experience with ceramics, but someone told me they wear awfully fast.
any input on this?:032:

Sylvester 02.05.2007 09:39 AM

Well, id say they wear just like any other bearings ; maxd out; just clean the bearings you have and you should be fine, i doubt you would notice much of a difference.

Keep them clean and they last... like serumvester :005: said. But they aren't worth the high cost imo.

You can get a free rolling bearing on the cheap by removing the seals of a regular bearing and using only a light oil.

I've been getting some nice bearing from avid-rc.com, it's the dollar store of bearings. Every bearing is a buck. They have several styles... but nothing fancy, no ceramics or super high grade.

Thanx for your imput guys ,Ive already used the Acer's before & found they do make a differece, small but noticable ,but really need to hear if any one has tryed them

maxd out 02.08.2007 07:50 AM

Tried the ceramics that is ,,,DOH!

Serum 02.08.2007 10:18 AM

check AVID bearings, they are cheap and perform awesome.

Ceramic isn't realy needed on MT's, with smaller setups you'll notice a larger difference.. there is this thread on the UE forum about this, from Avid, just search for ceramic bearings and you'll find it.

Serumvester.. First Squee calling me Anal, and now this...

Sylvester 02.08.2007 04:54 PM

LOL ! Just out of curiosity, Rene, why did Cory call you Anal? ;) *Post 3000- WHOO*
