locking tranny in 2nd
 

i use a center diff with front and rear brakes, my ? is if i lock my tranny in 2nd and still use a servo for brakes will it work properly? im thinking no but could use your help

You lost me.... is it a center diff or center tranny? Revo?

sounds like a revo tranny with the optional diff installed.... Right?

It should be fine - the two speed assembly is seperate from the center diff assembly.

but with the hv maxx i cant turn off the brake function, so it will stop the gears, right?

Yes, if you lock the tranny in second, the motor will stop the truck. And you'll have reverse.

Will you still be able to use the Traxxas Center diff with the 2nd gear and still be able to use the motor brakes and reverse?

Yup. First and/or second gear have nothing to do with the gear that drives the center diff (it's a seperate gear). I am using locked 2nd gear with a center diff (although it's a custom one, not the stock one).

To lock the tranny, you can either use the little adaptor by b0gh0s, or you can easily do this mod to do the same thing.
