Need help on new Maxx setup

This is sort of a good thing. Yet, an annoying problem for me. I have some cash to spend on R/C but don't know what to get. :002:

At the moment I run 6s on a 7XL and 9920. I love this power/speed. It's good for me - but everyone will know heating is an issue with a hot setup like this.

So, I'm thinking of a new B/L setup, maybe a Lehner 1950 (or bigger?) but worried that any upgrade would lose the power and speed the 7XL on 6s gave me, the main reason for me wanting to move away from the 7XL is because of efficency and simply - I just want to have an expensive motor for a change, something better, as a 7XL isn't feeding my love for power anymore. :007: If getting a more expensive setup is slower - I'm not interested. :)

What setup should I go for, or should I be looking at an 8s setup?

Is more batteries a possiblity?

7xl on 6s is like 52,000 rpms i'm sure that motor hasnt got much more life in it. what controller do you have.

i doubt getting a more expensive motor like a lehner would make your rig slower, with 6s it would most likely be faster, run cooler and run longer as to what wind you need i am not up on lehner motor specs, talk to mike

get the neu 1515/1y and run it on your 6s. If the feigao can handle it the neu can. and it will for sure be more efficient than the 7xl. You might even be able to get more gearing into it for more speed.

Still seems really hot to me, but if it works for you, roll with it.

EDIT: Sorry, with the 9920 you would need the lehner 1950/6 . or get another controller with the neu.

A 1950/7 works great on 6s and stays cool with no fan or heat sink.

I was thinking 8s. Using 4x 2s2p packs.

Then maybe a 1950 8t? Would be good with 6s and 8s yeh? Would need a new controller though. What would the advantage be with 8s and 8t or a 6s on a 6t?

Imo a 1950 7t on 6s would be sick on a 9920. I use my 1950/7 on 4s and it rips, on 6s it would be nuts, i think 8s is over doing it and will add power, but also weight.

Is 6s on a 1950 6t going to run well? I'm used to the 7XL, so I imagine it would be slightly more powerful but more efficent too? Will probably run 4s4p too. So 6t seems right.

It will be alot more efficient, as for power, i think this will put a smile on your face! :)

How about getting two TrakPower 4900mah 2s1p and a 1950/5 turns?

The trakpower batts are super strong and I'm sure your beast will become super light and yet, VERY FAST.

International website please.. captn :)

Nevermind.. found it. What kind of taps do they use? Think it would work with my LBA10?

I have the 20C 3s1p Flightpowers now.

I don't think 5t on 4s would be better? Why do people keep putting new ideas in my head. :) Getting confused now, must be from looking at your carpet too long. :005:

4s on a 5T would be good but less power. Id stick wih the 7T on 6s:)
