Kind of hard to see even with the image resized. Looks like crash damage and not puffed from abuse ?? Is there a hole in the silver cell covering ??
Yes = trash it .. No = charge it carefully watching for any excess heat that may indicate an internal short Good Luck Steve |
yeah there is a small hole in the lining.. The pack isn't that old .. I may pull that one cell out of it..need more info..

thats a tough one. Best bet it to take that cell out and trash it. Or, charge it in lipo sack and see what happens, and expect the worst.

I have read about guys that have resealed a small hole in a lipo with tape/glue... anything airtight... and they claim it worked fine. I don't know what happened long term with them.
Mabye they died in a mysterious house fire a few weeks later, lol.Ok not funny. I would do two things. 1. Call Austin and see what he may do to help. 2. Seal the damage and see what happens... keeping a suspicious eye on it at all times. |
have you cheked the voltage?
|
no I haven't checked anything... just saw it yesterday. ran last a few days earlier.. I emailed austin..

Check the cells voltage.
|
shows 4v right now! why ask about the volts?
phil |
Damaged cells might differ in voltage from the rest of the cells in the pack; this would keep me from using that cell.
|
I would see about getting it out of the pack and use the other cells.
