FP Lipos

In the future i am planning on trying the FP packs in both my B4 and LSP..
Will my LBA10 balancer work with the EVO20 packs and the new Trakpower lipos? Thanks.

yep, if you make the right adaptor.

Sylvester 02.07.2007 05:59 PM

What do you mean by make? Isnt there one that plugs into the hyperion and than goes into the FP pack?

Why? afraid to hold a Weller?

Sylvester 02.07.2007 06:02 PM

Never afraid by all means, im just talking about the plastic plug which plugs into the balancer/pack.. i dont know why anyone would be afraid to hold a weller.. ;)

I know somebody...After my dad grabbed ahold of one that was accidentally left plugged in (doesn't have the light to indicate its plugged in), he doesn't really mess with them anymore...

Ouch.. did it not have a handle to grab... ;)

captain harlock 02.07.2007 09:58 PM

I've burned myself several times with them, too( I'm also diabetic, which makes the whole thing even worse- delayed healing), but that did not really make me afraid to use them.
Also, Sylvester, if you get the V-Balance module which costs around $25 in conjunction with the TrakPower harness to be used on the TrakPower packs, you'll save yourself the trouble.
It isn't bad to have a couple different balancers when they don't cost that much.

He had grabbed it by the iron part to wrap the cord around the handle...Had a VERY bad burn on this palm, kinda up high, right before your fingers...He couldn't grip stuff for a week or so.

captain harlock 02.08.2007 04:57 AM

This is why you should wear gloves, googles and mask.
Most People wont learn the easy way, though..:)

Al; the question is how to wear a search engine.. :p

Sylvester 02.08.2007 05:01 PM

That must've been some burn squee! Thanks Captn.

I solder with a Metcal station (MX500 I think) and I keep forgetting to use the little thermal pad to exchange tips. I've lost almost all of the feeling in my left thumb and index finger.

If you look around you can find all makes of male and female ends of balancing adapter. Making them is easy.

i also grabbed a solder iron by the wrong once, i was quick to release my grip and the burn wasnt that bad. lucky me.:005:
