fun bl mt-2 project

hey guys my freind gave me an mt-2 chassis for free and i was thinking of putting my bl setup in there for just the fun of it. i probably wouldnt keep it in there forevr unless it works super awsome but i was just wondering how different it would drive compared to my rusty..

does the mt-2 have a 2 speed tranny? will it work with electric? is there anything i would have to go about doing before making it bl? or can i just throw on the motor and esc and have some fun?!?!

i dont really know how im going to mount the motor... seems like a kind of difficult project but other than that it should be pretty simple.

will get some pics of it later tonight.

thanks!

if you do a search here on the forum for it i'm sure you'll find loads of converted ones.:027:

you mean the little piece of L-profile?
get a piece at the hardware store or so.
but, first you must take measurement of the truck, to see wath size you need.
the motormount in my truck (twin force) is also an angle and its 3mm thick alu.
i believe the foot is 30mm and where the motor's mount is 40mm high.

well if its not the right size i can grind it down. i have the equipment to do that i just cant bend the metal like that. i will check out a couple places today to see what they have

thanks!

just got done taking a detailed look at it and im missing the front drive cup lol didnt know it was a 4wd truck... also its missing a shock and some random no big deal parts but right now im looking on ebay for the part so maybe i can get this truck running in a couple weeks!!

do you guys think the truck would me nicer than my rusty? i mean is it worth putting the 100 bucks into it (im guessing everything will cost around 100...)

this is it right?

t-maxxracer32 02.12.2007 10:12 AM

beggers cant be choosers!!!

ive always wanted to say that but never found the right moment!! WOOT WOOT!

jollyjumper 02.12.2007 10:20 AM

hahaha, it came with only one diff.:D
that's crazy, how the **** did he drive it then?;)

t-maxxracer32 02.12.2007 10:27 AM

long line of decendants have owned this truck. my freinds freinds freind owned it then broke the engine so gave it to my freinds freind. he bought a new motor for it and didnt properly break it in. then he gave it to my freind who took the motor out and let it sit in the garage for a year or so. then he gave it to me! lol somewhere down the line it lost some parts on it!! haha!

jollyjumper 02.12.2007 10:32 AM
