Question About the G2r
I was reading the following article..
http://www.rcdriver.com/articles/revo_reborn.shtml and after looking at the pictures, I was wondering is the tranny on that truck backwards? cause thats not how i installed mine... |
Well, it is backwards compared to a stock E-Maxx, but thats currently how my Tranny is installed...the weight distribution is better that way.
It doesn't matter really...
that is a pretty nice article. I wonder why he used the 8L though? And, he spelled Maxamps wrong a few times. Other than that, very nice work he did! As far as your tranny, mount it the way it works best for you.
The tranny is mounted that way because of the direction it rotates the gears- on the emaxx it faces to the rear because of how the diffs rotate; if you use the gorillamaxx motor mount the motor faces the other way, so you have to flip the diffs in order for the truck to go forwards, or if using a sensorless motor you can run it in reverse. The same thing happens in a revo ( the diffs are designed to rotate in a certain direction in relation to the engine), though here you just turn the tranny around- have a play and see what works best for you in terms of weight distribution (as mentioned above). I had to have my emaxx tranny facing 'the wrongway' when I had it in my TXT-1.
