Lehner 1950 KV Rateings?
How come the kv ratings for the 1950 motors are diferent on the RC-Monster store vs. the Lehner website? Anyone know which is correct? The lehner site has a slightly lower kv rating than the RC-Monster store.

Looks like Lehner changed the numbers slightly. I remember them being the same as on Mikes site. I may be wrong, though.
Anyway, the loaded KV (at max efficiency) depends on a lot of variables, not the least being the ESC used. Regard them as a guidline, not a solid number. PS: if you have a motor over- or underloaded, it might have a huge impact on the final rpm. I hope to get the Brushless RPM Sensor from Eagletree soon, to see how fast they really spin at WOT. Should be interesting. DAF |

They are, somewhat. It says "at max efficiecy" and 30° motor timing.

True, but what is "the load"? I've yet to see it specified.

Somewhere between unloaded and stall. ;) |
They use big propellers, every motor-size has a corresponding propeller size. But that's all I know.

I had read something like that. I think they use a particular prop size "Per Series". |
Yeah, that's what I wanted to say :)

I understood it reading the first post.. must be a foreign thingy.. :)
If you take a look at the www.bk-electronics.com site, the number are the same as Mike used on his site. |
I know its not alot different, but it just got me wondering why they had it rated differently in different places.

lehner's kv numbers have been different from bk's and mike's numbers for a few months now. i thought everyone already knew that so i didn't mention it in a few posts, lol.
