What is the best motor to put on the e-savage?

The title say most..

What's the best motor i can put into my E-savage with 4s lipo?

I want a nitro killer in both acc and topspeed :D

jollyjumper 02.24.2007 12:25 PM

well, it kinda doesnt go up.
the lehner is, as the name goes, a basic.
so it is their low end motor.
the nue on the other hand is a high end motor.
what would you want?
also keep in mind that the nue requires a mgm compro or quark.

Serum 02.24.2007 12:28 PM

a lehner is 36mm in diameter and a neu without fins 39. perhaps the 39 doesn't fit the e-savage?

Welcome to the forum bytheway!

jollyjumper 02.24.2007 12:31 PM

yeah welcome aboard.
also with the basic xxl you have a 4mm shaft, no 32p pinion with 4mm bore.
so that would have to be custom drilled.:026:

Well, but 2000watt is more than all the other motors??

the std motor is a 550 sized, 55mm diameter?

Serum 02.24.2007 12:46 PM

No, a 540/550 motor is 36 mm in diameter

jollyjumper 02.24.2007 12:47 PM

the neu 15 series are in between 700 and 3000 watts.
the stock motor are 36mm.
how much room do you have for your motor?

Serum 02.24.2007 12:50 PM

Guys, cursing isn't helping any of us.
Jolly, it's not a contest..

Don't stare at the 2000 watt thing too long.

Please read the sticky i wrote in the brushless section, it will explain quite a bit.

jollyjumper 02.24.2007 12:55 PM

sorry bout that.
keep in mind; the power the motor produces depends on the batts.

D3nic 02.24.2007 01:01 PM

66mm long, 40mm in diameter..

jollyjumper 02.24.2007 01:05 PM

you have that much room?
then i'd say a neu 1512/2.5d 2000Kv or maybe 15122d 2600Kv
but then again, what do i know:p

D3nic 02.24.2007 01:49 PM

i need speed too ! :P..

a feigao 8-10l have more kv than that?

Serum 02.24.2007 01:51 PM

Did you read the thread i suggested you?

D3nic 02.24.2007 02:16 PM

Now i did.... but i want a nitro killer in speed too not just acc.. so 45mph would be nice.. and thats why i'm reading here.. to find the right motor for me..
