My Clod with torque control ESC
Here are some pics of my Clod based crawler.
Spec's: -Rockbull fullmetall chassis -Moab XL tires in Cheyenne narrow wheels -Hot Bodies shocks (purple) -HS5955 servo for front steering -TowerPro 995MG rear steering -Integy lathe 55T motors -Hurricane ESC with torque control suystem -Jeep Wrangler body -JR MX-12 6 channel radio http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i3...wlergarbi1.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i3...wlergarbi2.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i3...wlergarbi3.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i3...od4canales.jpg I use 4 channels of the radio: -front steering -rear steering -throttle -and the fourth for manually controlling the torque between the front and back axels. This is an awesome feature of the Hurricane ESC, a spanish product developed by a crawler addict engineer, Enric. Here are the complete features: http://www.lempo.net Will try to take a video this weekend. |
That sounds like a neat feature in an ESC - basically like having two ESCs in one package.
Nice truck BTW! |
Quote:
If you don't have a 4 channel radio you can set the torque controll feature in automatic so the ESC reads the speed's difference between the 2 axels and will send more torque to the slow one. |
that thing is perrrty! nice crawler!
|
That is a nice set up, don't need two of everything, just motors. Could also work in clod racing applications, when front wheels spin, the auto setting will put more current to the rear
