Nice test...

120 miles with the HPI baja thru the desert.. Not bad..

Looks like a crazy test! Wow, only 6 tanks of fuel!

jollyjumper 03.16.2007 03:05 PM

must reck havoc on shocks, tires and differential:013:

Very cool, and impressive, especially for an RC you can buy off the shelf. It says the average speed was 21.7 mph which seems very high if you watch the video and look at the terrain. It shows how capable and reliable the Baja is.

BrianG 03.16.2007 04:01 PM

If you read "the story", it does mention some upgrades/mods. But even so, still quite impressive. Some of my "excursions" don't last 30 minutes before I break something. :)

cembom 03.16.2007 05:35 PM

Ever since the snow melted, every time I take my Emaxx out back I break something before I even run out 45% of my 2000mah packs.

jnev 03.16.2007 07:29 PM

That is so cool. I saw one of them run in the dunes, and man, was that the most fun looking rc I have seen. That same guy also had an e-revo and 2 more brushless stadium trucks. lol

I wish Team losi would come out with a gas powered 5th scale 4 wheel drive monster like the LST. If you have ever driven a lst you will know what I am talking about they handle awesome! I know if they did I would have one the day they came out!

Serum 03.17.2007 05:10 AM

yeah, a 4wd 1/5th would be nice. There is a german company that sells them.

captain harlock 03.17.2007 06:27 AM

I think we can easily mount a lehner 3040 motor in this buggy with 12s lipos for average speed of 40-50mph. It'll be very costy, though.

Mr.lst 03.17.2007 07:30 AM

who makes a 4wd 5th scale?

HotnCold 03.17.2007 08:17 AM

i was wondering the same thing - i know that the marder has a 4 wd conversion for their 1/5 - but not available in purchase form - only upgrade -
id be interested in a 1/5 4wd - that would be sweetiZzle :-)

captain harlock 03.17.2007 08:29 AM

I believe a company by the name H.A.R.M.

I've posted a thread about them a while ago.

They make some 4wd(I'm not sure about this one) buggies and tourers with brushless systems.

Its Carson. http://www.rc-car-online.de/htstarteng.htm

Go to "Carson News Nuremberg 2007". You'll see the truck. I like the looks though.. But not sure about Carson product.
