380C 6L powered T3
I figured I'd post up a thread about my T3. It's a team built T3 roller with no hop ups except for the tires/wheels. Here's a rundown:
T3 Masher 2K Tires RPM Bully Wheels JR Z590M Servo MM ESC Feigao 380C 6L Motor Trakpower 2S 4900mAh Lipo I took it out for a speed run today, along with a few video clips. I had some problems with the speed runs as I couldn't keep the front wheels down until I finally got smart enough to strap the GPS over the front bulkhead. By the time I did this, I went to take a run out on the grass and it was quite a bit slower than it had been running before. I manage to drive it back to me slowly only to find out that the roll pin in one my MIP cvd's had sheared off, leaving two small bits in the wheel and the rest in the stub axle. I have never had that happen before, so I was a bit amazed. I happened to have some spares, so I popped a new pin in and was ready to go out again. I managed to keep it pretty straight for about 150' on a wide sidewalk to get a top speed of 47.7mph on the GPS. I know I could have had it faster with more room, but I was happy to settle to for that without breaking anything else. I then popped the body on it and went off for some quick vids of it running in a large field. Here's the vids: www.skellyo.com/T3_1.WMV www.skellyo.com/T3_2.WMV www.skellyo.com/T3_3.WMV www.skellyo.com/T3_4.WMV I am simply amazed at the power this little motor puts out. The only problem now is keeping the darn thing on the ground. |
thats how my flm pede is with the mm lol
good thing is punch controll, helps out a TON |
I've had a 380C/6L in my Rustler for a while now and I really like it. Best I ever did was 48 w/ 8 cells tho my rusty is quite a bit heavier than the T3. Just took it out 1st time this weekend and a new 2S lipo pack. :) :)
Had run it since last year, so it was a alot of fun getting it out again. Was going to radar it w/ the lipos to compare, but a high speed curb encounter ended the affair... Ah well, it was running so cool I'll go up a tooth and try it again. Are people still buying this motor much? I'm curious what has happened since the mambas came out, and how this motor compares to the 5700. The little testing I've seen seems to say the 380 is a bit faster, but the 5700 can run 3S, so passes it on higher cell counts. Anyone else seen anything? |
