quick lipo question
i have been looking at lipo packs and found some polyquest ones that i think will be perfect. They are the 4400 with 12C-16C discharge. that means they could handle 53 amps cont. 70.4 max amps. i would run one 2s pack and one 3s pack, which makes 18.5 volts (a little more than 15 nimh cells). im not sure if they would hold up to the 10L motor. accoring to the specs the 10L only draws 61 amps (not sure if it always draws 61 amps), and the batts are good for about 53 cont-71 max amps. Would these packs safley work with the 10L? thanks
BTW... The 2s pack is $95 and the 3s pack is only $140. |
whats a 2s pack and a 3s pack like whats the difference. How much run time will you get with those? 10 minutes?
|
it means 2 cells wired in series, so 3.7 volts plus 3.7 volts = 7.4 volt pack. if they are wired in parelell that means that you add the compasity (MAH). they will get about 12 minutes on the track running WOT, but they will also drop about a pound off my truck, so that may result in more runtime.
|
They should be pretty safe for the 10L motor. The 10L will draw more than 61 amps under a hard load, but only i short bursts of heavy acceleration. The 10L on 18.5 volts runs very nice!

I'd agree with Mike here. The 4400 has similar price to the Kokams with about 30% more run time but slightly less power output capabilities.
5s powerful running I'd get Kokams 5s marginally less punch but 30% longer run times I'd get the Polyquest 4400s. Polyquest does have new 20C packs, but I've never tested those nor the 24C thunderpower packs. BTW, you wanna buy my 5s4400 polyquest pack? I have one that is BRAND NEW (just added a Dean's connector and charged it up). I decided I only need one and not two of these and I wanna try out the 20C ones from Polyquest. |
hey lipomax, you got pm on the batt

What Lipo would you all reccomend to just double runtime on my xxx-t? currently I run 2400 mah.
|
i run the maxamps 4950mah pack im my xxx-t(mf2). its close to the same size as a 6cell pack and should get you the run time you want.

Do you have a link?
Thanks, Shaun |
