My EMaxx - PICs inside

Hey - Just got an EMaxx and already installed these hop-ups on it:

RPM - Purple Shock towers & Body mounts
RPM Purple front bumper,
RPM Black A-Arms
Aluminum - Bulk heads
Aluminum - bulk head braces
Aluminum - bumper mounts
Aluminum - rear bumper
HPI Savage Purple Springs
Traxxas differential spool in the rear
Gorilla Battery straps

I am thinking of getting the hex adaptors to allow me to use 1/8 scale buggy tires on the truck (Not decided yet). If anyone has done this already, I would like to hear what you think of them.
Not decided on which brushless motor to install yet. And before anyone says it - "NO TO NOVAK BRUSHLESS" - I will be installing a much better brushless system when I do.

All I have left is to put Deans connectors on the ESC.

I used to have the adapters on my truggy maxx (yellow truggy in the picture section). The truck looked just like an 1/8 scale buggy. They work well. Glad you finally got the e-maxx. Now you are in the cool club! :)

Thanks -

It is one heavy truck!!! Heavier than my TMaxx was. All those same hop-ups were on my TMaxx and it was lighter than this to carry around.

Can't wait to install a nice brushless combo in it.

In stock form, the e weighs almost a pound more than the T. Brushless will make it feel a lot lighter, for sure!

To hold it in my hand and try to carry it and so forth - it feels a lot heavier. I know I have some ali on this - but that same ali is off my TMaxx - Should feel close to same weight I would think.

Anyhoo - Need to decide which motor to use. Would like to get an L series but with a higher kv than what I have. Right now have the 10L Feigao. The only other L series tomorrow I am returning to my friend tomorrow. So need to score another.

The 8L works best for 12 cells, while the 9L works best for 14 cells.

I wish the paint job on my shell came out better. Did not come out as planned. For a servo I am using a JR Racing High Torque Metal Geared servo.

Mike - I love that blue goblin picture. :)

Thanks. It's actually a self portrait! :)

studysession 01.13.2005 07:21 PM

The pics are to small to see any real detail on the trucks -

The dog looks cool. :)

HotnCold 01.13.2005 07:36 PM

small pics

I figured that a small pic would be better for people on dial up to view - nothing worse than waiting 7 minutes for a pic to load - used to have dial up - been there done that - waiting suxxxx...
