1/8th scale difs
few questions for ya;
I see a LOT of MBX5 new difs on ebay for pennies. Will they go into the bulkless conversions? are there any bad points about bulkless? ( like a siezed hinge pin) with 1/8 scale dif what center shaft is used? |
Yes, these diffs should fit them perfect.
The savage diff is too big though, (ringgear issue) but these 1/8th diffs should fit. The shafts you can use are the MIP's /UE's or any other brand cvd/drivebone. you can't use the stock driveshafts though. The hingepins that have got another size, are included with the bulkless conversion. (make sure to get the 1/8th though, there are two different sets..) I guess you allready found that out.. The UE diffs won't fit them though. (need a little tweaking to make them fit..) The drivecups are simple too big for the holes.. |
good news and bad news;
I won the bulkless conversion but I lost both auctions for the difs by 0 cents! yup you heard it 0 cents. it's Ok I'll find some diffs sooner or later. ;) |
well mbx5 difs do not fit. dia of gear is too large.
back to step one. anyone have 2 used/new 1/8 scale difs for me? 7.5's or GS storm or whatever you guys use..... |
Don't fit?! that's weird... it's the same ringgear as on the UE 6spiders? the HB lightning ringgear/pinion should fit.. (though i seriously thought these would fit too) the HB ringgear/pinion is 43/10 instead of 43/13.
What numbers are on the package of those bulks? |
