TC3 Buggy Conversion?
 

I would love, seeing how fast it goes with a 11t motor to make my TC3 a buggy or able to perform well off-road. :)

I have seen kits that transform it at $200 - but is there a cheaper option to make the ride height alot higher?

At the moment it sits less than 1cm off the road, lol, a tiny stone can put it off course. :cool:

I guess I would need new arms and suspension any ideas what model these should be taken from? Or any other parts I might require?

I had a converted tc3 a couple years ago (actuall, I still have the parts, but I converted the car inot a mini e-maxx). I have the tc3-O kit. It was nose heavy and had a tendency to dive off the jumps. I didn't spend much time with it to work out the handling bugs, but it had some potential. the rally conversion with buggy tires and a gear change would pick up the ride height a bit. It wouldn't handle like a true 4wd racing buggy, but it could get around off road some.

Have you got any pictures? Intrested in the O-Kit, just don't actually know whats in it.

I find the E-Maxx nose heavy, probably because the motors.

The e-maxx is nose heavy - The g-maxx chassis fixes this though, wityh the motor mount. The tc3"o" is in pieces. I will see if I can find a web link.

Looks really good. Would you say it is worth the money?

If you have a tc3, it is a pretty good buggy. I would definately get the front oneway for it (will minimize the tendency to nose dive). I have the version one, which has aluminum in place of the CF parts, so mine is most likely heavier than the version2. The V@ looks like it has improved on a few of the week links of the V1.

Now I just have to consider if I should spend my budget on the TC3 or E-Maxx.

I just watched the video.

I noticed the ride height was still rather low, do you know if this is adjustable? Also looked a little stiff and bumpy driving - maybe just softer springs.

How did you make your TC3 into a "Mini-E-Maxx" by the way? I really want to convert my TC3 off road because the great speed and performance it has on road!

The ride height is adjustable for sure. I made a custom chassis when I converted it to a mini monster.

Yeh I bet it would be mad! :D

Although I think $100 is alot to pay for a conversion, when you can nearly get a 2nd hand B4 for that which is DESIGNED for off-road, where as a TC3 is for on-road.

What batteries does it take? Looks like saddle.

The durango has been around for a couple years. It is a top of the line 4wd buggy based on the tc3. It si very expensive, though!
