CAD Design Software?
I'm thinking of maybe designing some custom parts that I could send to Mike to have machined.
Anyone know where I can get some design software to do this (and not destroy my wallet)? The only AutoCAD price I've seen so fare cost 4 grand! Any help is awesome (as always). |
What about emachineshop? It's designed to use to make things and then get quotes for having it made, but should work I would think...

If you are a student..... There is a student version for $99. It has alicence that activates the software for 1 year. I'm not sure if there are nay other limitations on the student versions. If you (or someone you know ;) ) is a student, even part time, you should qualify.I dont think you will find a better deal out there for actual real 3-D modeling software.

I agree with brian g - emachine shop works fairly well and you cant beat the cost - FREE - good luck

emachineshop is very limited IMO
you can't make assemblies with it, and solidworks is easier to work with. |
In another topic about this, soemone gave me this link:
