lipos on hv maxx
 

hey guys, im looking into buying lipos for my hv maxx its in my e-maxx, how many volts and cells can i run, were could i get these lipos and also, how many mah should i get. will i see a improvement in run time and power?? thank you

u would want like max amps packs, id do 2 2 cell lipos, thats all u can run.... or track power if u want the best lipos

you would need to run two 7.4 lipo packs(2s) and as far as capacity it depends on what you want to spend, dont forget a lipo charger and balancer, the rc monster store will have everything you need and if you dont see it you can email mike(owner) and he can help set you up, btw i have two maxamps and they are 5000mah and i get about 20-30 of bashin if im easy on the throttle(hvmaxx 4.5 system in my revo)

ok i know that i needed i diffent charger but whats a balencer, i see theres on for like 30$ in the store but were does it go??, why do i need it??? and what does it do ???

it keeps the cells in your pack in balance, you can do it after a charge or like i do , i charge thru it, it will discharge each cell to keep them close to the same voltage , while you charge

Most chargers and balancers can handle 4s, just check the specs when you buy to make sure you dont get one that can't handle it. Some balancers only come with cables for 2s and 3s, again check the specs you may need to get 4s balance cables with it.

I fried an HV with my 4800 Orions. 15-20 min run times and very high amps make alot of heat. I'd get a temp guage and keep the motor below 190, the esc will shutoff/thermal before it gets cooked so I wouldnt worry about it.

is there any way to use one lopo instead of two nimh? i want more power and less weight and do i need a balancer if im only running one lipo?

you can use one 4s or 5s pack instead of 2 6~8 cell nimh packs.

ok, i got another question, when you read the pipo description there two number like 2c3s, i know that 2 is the amount of cells but what the other one and what the diffrents??
