bending cvd?
well im wondering, if u have rpm arms with cvd's do the cv's bend when u crash or anything? any truck?
|
Depends how far the a-arms bend. The CVDs are designed to operate at an angle up to about 30* from straight if you see my meaning, but in a crash if the a-arm deforms further then Im thinking the shaft of the CVD will either bend or snap, or the joint itself will die, or the dogbone may just ping out of the cup- no real damage as such. Most likely option 2 or 3....

No, you WILL bend the CVD. I bent one of a Revo. It popped out just from going around a sharp turn.
