New Setup

Ok, im in need of a new setup, my stock titans/evx are killed, my motors are worn completely , and my EVX is glitchy , i was thinking, on a 12 cell setup, a 9918 with a lehner , but witch lehner would be best? the XL3100, XL2800, or XL3600? I would be looking for more on the speedy side.

I am also going to try the strobe slipper kit, with the nylon 51T spur (ofna). What mod 1 pinion would be ideal for a torquey but speedy truck?

I am also going to try out the medium/soft panther komodos, will this seup be good for a basher? Im looking more on a bugg side, my maxx is lowered like a buggy and am hoping it acts like one , too! What would you guys reccomend for a steering servo?

Thanks guys, I appreciate any suggestions!

If your looking for speed, then the 3600XL would be the answer. On 12 cells, I've heard this system can be a beast. You will have to watch out for temps (especially the motor). Running komodos will take a huge strain off the motor. However, I wouldn't reccomend more than 12 cells on this motor, aside from speed runs... :D

Thanks, XL3600, hmmm, cool. Komodos are a must, i dont want to overheat the motor, would 16/72 be ok?

Good thing you'r going Komodo. Saves the drivetrain. and some serious weight too. Though you won't need the Strobe slipper. You can stick with the stock pitch. you can get pinions for it allmost anywhere. (3.2 mm shaft)

I used to race with the xl3600. It runs a bit warm with the monster rubber, but komodos will lessen that for sure. The motor is a beast and should work excellent in a komodo tired maxx (in fact, I may try it myself!). The strobe slipper isn't necessary, but it is nice to be able to tune the power delivery on slippery surfaces (I love these slippers). 14/51 with the strobe would get you around 40mph, with ballistic acceleration.
