Need quick info on Hacker C50 10XL
Hey guys,
I was just at my LHS and while in the office, I noticed a Hacker C50 10XL sitting on the desk. I asked about it and was told that a guy ordered it, but was sent the wrong motor and he is now wanting to get rid of it. Does anyone know anything about these motors? The Hacker site says the kv rating is around 1600kv. Is that loaded or unloaded? Are these motors any good? About what do they sell for? I really wasn't able to find much info on this particular motor. Are they any better than the Feigaos? I might be able to get this thing for a really good price. Thanks. |
These motors are one of the first sensorless brushless motors to appear in the industry. The Nemesis and Feigao motors are based on them.
They're good, but the LMTs are way better. They're pricy, too. The C50s have a built in heatsink and they seem as big as the 22 series, but a 19 series motor can kick it's a$$ without problem. Bottomline: if you want to get a Good Feigao, get a Hacker!!! |
OK, thanks. It turns out that the guy won't take less that $200 for it. I took a pass on it.

Wow, $200 !??! I'd rather get a Neu than a Hacker... Hackers are only a little more efficient than Feigaos, but for more than double the price, Hackers have a much lower value than the Feigaos.

The normal price of a XL C50 is something over $300.

Well, I passed on that Hacker. The normal price of over $300 is rediculous, considering what you can get for less. I was just told that he wanted to get rid of it. If he had said $100, I would have taken it. Heck, you can get on Hacker website and they have a C50 9XL on clearance for around $220, I think. For that kind of money, I'd spend a bit more and get a Neu or Lehner.
