Possible Louisiana get together
 

Hey guys,

I've been noticing that there are at least a few guys on the forum that are from Louisiana (or nearby areas). I'm down near New Orleans and I'm alone. :005:

I'm the only guy around here, that I'm aware of, that messes with large scale brushless. I still get funny looks when I go out to the track.

Anyway, I was wondering if we could do a get together. Maybe sometime during the summer, if someone knows of a good place to do it. I have no ideas for a place, but thought it might be fun to get together, compare builds, and break some parts. I'd be up for meeting up at a hole in the wall motel that just happens to be across the street from a really big gravel pit, or something like that.

I'm from Lousiana as well. Baton Rouge to be exact. I'd be up for it, given one of my trucks is up and running. :031: I think KKR, now Finishline Raceway would be a good place to get together. They have a nice hobby shop about 5 minutes from the track, and last time I asked Corey Guidry, the owner, he said that BL and LiPo was fine, even for the big races, which for some reason alot of tracks won't let you run BL, or electric for that matter when theres a big race.

Whoop! Whoop! That sounds like a schweet plan to me. I'm up for anything you guys may have planned. My 14 y/o son may bring his (cough) T-Maxx, if this is cool?

Squee, BR is fine with me, although I'd actually perfer to get together and just fart around. Doing it at a track would be fine, but actual racing is too involved to be able to socialize.

Bottom line though, I'm up for what ever you guys want to do. I just want to get together with some guys that are into the same thing that I am.

I was planning on bringing my kid too. He has the Monster GT conversion to run. The kid was another reason that I didn't want to race. There's no way that I could race and keep an eye on him.

Actually the track is around Lafayette. I'll try and think of a decent place around here to bash, but honestly, I was just thinking of getting Corey to let us use the track one day to mess around. No organized race or anything.
