Whats size pinion should I get?

Any guesses on what gearing I should use.

Its a Revo, stock diff. gears, locked in std ratio 2nd gear, 54t spur, current pinion is a 15t.

2000kv Neu 1512, 14.8v

The speed calculator says the max speed is 23.5mph. If I went with a 22t pinion it would be up to 32mph. Is this to big or small... I'm trying not to experiment to much, each try cost about $15 bucks.:024:

54T spur? This must be 32 pitch, not the stock Mod1.

There is no such thing as a pinion that is too big. The final drive ratio is what matters, and of course if it physically fits. I'm running 40T spur and 14T pinion (mod1), which would be like running a 19T pinion on a 54T spur. But, I am running wide ratio second gear, so, 22T on 54T is pretty close to what I am running FDR-wise. You should be just fine, especially running a Neu. However, if you want a little flexibility, I would get a 19T and a 22T just so you have some options.

I was running 24/36 in my revo with 5s. It was wicked fast but the 24 was a tight fit. Temps and runtimes were great. I don't know how long runtime was but 45 mins was how long it took b4 I was bored or my buds with nitro's were out of fuel. lol
