CC Doing SHV
SHV = Super High Voltage
CC has been working on a SHV airplane controller. 90v (20s Lipo) and 200amps, with bursts up to 400amps. That's ~24hp or 48hp in bursts! http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=677235 |
WOW! Too bad someone couldn't hack the firmware for car use (add brake/reverse)!
Criminy, that could power a mini-bike or something for personal transportation use! |
WOW!
that was moving some air!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well wheres the land one now? lol |
I put one of those things in a pit bike!! :027: I bet it can move my small body around pretty good, eh? lol
|
Damn... thats a lot of power.
|
haha, nice...that would power a little pit bike...
|
Yeah, that's nice, but I'd settle for a low voltage controller, say 5S lipo that'll run in a car. Maybe in the form of a Mamba Monster Max. LOL.
|
Hmmm!!!
20s lipo in my gtx. That is an idea. |
I wouldn't hold my breath till they launch it Leroy..
|
If thing keep going like they are, the next generation will get to run the MMM and the MMMhv
|
it's a start
You may also want to consider our new 8S Mamba Monster and motor for the 1/5th scale HPI Baja B/T conversion we will be releasing soon. That vehicle weighs over twenty pounds, and our conversion really powers it right into the range you are looking for. It is not available yet, but should be available soon.
Its a start Quoting Greg from Castle |
This project got put on hold in late 2007, and just recently got reopened. Our first product will likely be a 160A, 16S controller.
Don't know if we are going to do a 20S controller in the near future.... safety issues are the main concern. Thanx! Patrick |

There's gotta be some kind of disclaimer/waiver you can have people sign before purchasing a SHV ESC that will free you from liability. I liked that 90v 200A ESC you had on the special projects site a while back. Looked like a small car amp. Would've been nice for a scooter with decent range. |
