RC Solition Roll Cages

Well Im really thinking about a roll cage cause Im not that good on landings. So I Thought Of this cage. Its $80 and its strong. I already have the rear traxxas bulk and planning to get the front with skids and bulk braces. So for the cage Im thinking silver. I have a stock red body right now. PICS PLZ

It's rather weak; i've seen them deformed. they are made from ~2mm thick aluminum. Why not buy two .060 proline bodies and put these over eachother?

That's a quick & easy solution.

The RC Raven cage is a much better value at around $30. They are strong but not indestructable. They offer the cases in stainless as well.

New Era Models probably makes the most indestructable cages I've seen, but that strength comes at a price.

Well I dont want to put 2 bodys. Well I liked the rc sol. cage cause it has built in body post so no more bent ones. Well it would be the rc solution cage OR THE FASTLANE EXT CHASSIS

The fastlane chassis is nice. I've got one and like it!

Land on the wheels dummy! JK!

You can get extended wheelbase rollcages, or modify the standard length to fit. I modified one but ended up selling it to a guy in "desperate" need. He also had an FLM chassis. I need to modify one (again) for me now. Mods can be done with a MIG, or TIG welder or if you are desperate and dont have access to one then cut the cage and get a piece of tubing that can span the needed extension.

I can modify one for f saws, etc.

Get REALLY big tires and it won't matter which way you land. :005:

That depends; if it's a front flip you need to pad the throttle a little bit more, and if it's a backflip you need to be easier on the throttle.

Well I need I need to start practiceing on my jump but I just need some protection. I was thinking about doing both. so thats probaly what youll see. I can weld but so can my brother but hes a fabricater. He did 5 cars for stevie ray vuaghans brother jimmy vuaghun. So Ill do the silver cage first.

GorillaMaxx360 05.24.2007 09:52 PM

hard bodies has some pretty tough roll cages that are decent looking too.

Sounds like a plan!
