E-maxx Stock Shocks

Just a simple question. When I push down on my e-maxx, the shocks don't rebound. They just stay down. Do I just need to take them apart and clean them? They also kind of squeak. I am assuming they are just dirty. What do you guys think? How often should they be cleaned?

Thanks,
Chris

It sounds l;ike bent shafts to me(at least one bent shaft). I would say it is time to rebuild them, and perhaps replace any worn items (like bent shafts!).

This happend to me.

I oiled (WD40) the hinge pins and ball pivots. I also loosend the ball pivots and got stiffer springs. They instantly came back to life!

Another possibility for squeaky shocks is excessive air inside. Bleeding/rebuilding them may be in order.

It's not a given fact, how often they need to be cleaned. If they are dirty, they need to be cleaned. (maintenance is very important, it keeps your truck healthy and young..)
