rc-solutions emailed me back...

"no roll cage to fit the Losi 8IGHT-T yet" is all it said...

and they gave no time frame on introducing one...

I don't think there will be one for the 8ight-t. It is more of a race truggy, so there isn't really a need for it.

it's my retired usmc background and being a novice r/c monster truck guy got me off track...

i over build everything r/c i touch...

your observation makes perfect sense...

A roll cage is a great idea. I am having john boyer (the tube frame master) do a cage for my g maxx. His bends and welds look awesome, you must see his work, if you want I can email some you some pics.

a good body will be better off than a roll cage IMO. a body will flex and absorb the impact like a shock absorber, whilst a roll cage transfers all of the force to the attachment points OR the energy is absorbed by bending the frame.
plus you suffer acceleration loss (most frames are around 10 to 15oz ) and an increased CoG (poor cornering).
good pro-line or jconcepts body is all you need....seriously.
