Best Tires?

What would be the best tires for grass/dirt/sand? 40 or maxx size. For bashing. And what wheel? 1/2 offset of course.

For grass dirt and sand, I like the badlands in the monster truck line and for the 40 series in like the mashers and the moabs. The mashers have a real monster truck look to them and are really cool, but I think that the moabs are better tires.

As for the wheels, I've just been using the prolines, but I'm running 23mm hexes and proline is the only company making wheels for 23mm hexes that fit MT size tires. When running 17mm, I just went with the ofna. They are a bit less expensive and come in sets of four.

If you want cheap bashing tires, check out a guy on ebay that operates a store called suprasales.

What are you putting these on? The 40 series tires and wheels will add a couple of pounds when compared to a set of MT racing tires, like holeshots.

or some dirt hawgs...

i have heard good things about the moabs, but thats at 2.2" size not sure how good they are at 40 size

The Moabs are great for bashing. They work well in the rough stuff and on concrete. They are just really heavy.

Losi ZombiMaxx tires are great in grass dirt and on asphault. Great traction on just about any bashing surface. Ive been bashing a set for almost a year now and they hardly show any wear. Great bashing tire in my book.

Well im going to stsy with the maxx size cause of thr weight gain and runtime and speed loss. So what would be better? Badlands or zombies? the both look very cool. The wheels will probaly be the 17mm black velocitys or 23mm ones painted black. Cause the velocity 6 are ugly.

jhautz 06.12.2007 10:46 PM

I would say if you plan to do any running on the street or parking lots go with the Zombies. The badlands suck on pavement. If it straight grass then the badlands are gonna hook up the strongest, although the zombies still work very well.

As for dirt and sand Id say they are about equal.

I'm running the zombies and they are my best tires ever

bdebde 09.14.2007 02:23 AM

So do the Zombie-Max tires fit 40 series rims?

wallot 09.14.2007 04:25 AM

zombie maxx are only standard MT size rims, no 40series.
go for zombies or badlands. i really like my badlands, truck is way more agile even tho looks bit stupid :)
